Team Bread & Beyond, including two of young trainee bakers, have made an appearance on regional TV news

ITV Meridian News visited us on Monday, 8 November to report on Bread & Beyond earning two award wins in the Tiptree World Bread Awards Heroes with Brook Food 2021.

The ITV Meridian News piece, broadcast on Thursday, 11 November, can be seen on the programme’s website.

The news item featured interviews with our Artisan Bakery Manager Dylan Needham, Job Coach Laura Parker, and trainee baker James (pictured being interview below), who is a resident in the Prior’s Court Young Adult Provision.

Also featured in the piece are Baker/Job Coach Scott Thompson, trainee baker Shaun, and Prior’s Court Autism Practitioner Daniel Buck who was supporting the young adults.

For the piece, James and Shaun were both filmed working with Laura, Scott and Daniel as part of their bi-weekly sessions in our bakery.

Prior’s Court is looking to explore external work placement opportunities for the young bakers of Bread & Beyond and so is keen to hear from bakeries in the West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire areas who would be interested in supporting us. Contact Nickie Dunphy on 07720 212600 or [email protected] if you would like to find out more.

While our bakery shop is not open to the general public, our products are available at a number of outlets across the West Berkshire area, including Stockcross Village Stores; Aldbourne Post Office; Londis Chieveley Village Stores; and the Berkshire branch of the National Animal Welfare Trust in Great Shefford. We also supply all the bread and baked goods on the Prior’s Court site, catering for around 90 young people and 500 staff members.
